About Us
Taree Medical Centre is a complete General Practice serving Taree and the surrounding Manning Valley region of NSW. This includes, Wingham, Cundletown, Harrington, Old Bar, Tinonee & Croki.
We are a busy, modern and long established private billing group practice. We currently have 5 doctors and 2 practice nurses, as well as experienced and friendly office staff.
Taree Medical Centre offers a full range of general practice services including minor surgery, antenatal care, childhood vaccinations, house calls, and nursing home patient care.
Surgery Hours -
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm. Saturday (for urgent medical conditions only) 10.00am to 11.30am.
Appointments -
Consultation is by appointment 9.00am to 5pm. This helps to keep our waiting times to a minimum. Our aim is to ensure that all patients with urgent problems will be seen by a doctor on the same day. If your appointment is urgent, please make this clear to our receptionist.
After Hours Care -
The practice provides 24 hour care for urgent medical problems. This service is only for registered patients of our practice. A doctor is always present at our surgery or the Wynter Street Surgery from 10am to 11.30am on a Sunday morning. Please phone 6552 2411 after hours to contact our on call doctor.
Telephone Enquiries -
We are able to answer your enquiry over the telephone. If appropriate, our doctors are able to speak with you or ring you back at a more convenient time. On occasion, it may be more appropriate for an appointment for a consultation to be made.
