It is a privilege to introduce you to an educational facility where a team of highly qualified, skilled and dedicated staff work together to provide a quality education for students with special needs.
Suneden, founded in 1943, is a non-government, low fee paying, non-denominational school for children with intellectual and multiple physical disabilities aged 5-21 years. The school is located in Mitchell Park, a central-southern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia.
Suneden caters for 60-65 students, and provides a caring and educationally stimulating environment with small class sizes, excellent facilities and a high staff ratio. A range of educational programmes are tailored to suit the needs of the individual students. These programmes are supported by our on-site Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist.
Suneden’s philosophy is based on the principle that all students have a right to:
- A safe and caring environment
- Be treated with respect and dignity
- An appropriate curriculum to meet their needs
