The Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees' Association (SDA) is the largest union in Australia, with more than 220,000 members nationally. In Victoria alone, the SDA has over 50,000 members.

At the SDA we have a large team of people committed to protecting and advancing the rights of SDA members. This team is complemented by our large team of Delegates and Health & Safety Representatives in the workplace.

The primary role of the SDA is to look after the industrial needs of its members through advice, representation and protection.
The SDA employs a team of experienced and qualified people to do this.
Members of the SDA can receive advice and assistance on any workplace issue including such matters as:
- leave and other entitlements
- rostering disputes
- discrimination and harassment
- unfair or unlawful dismissal
- occupational health & safety
