Royal Flying Doctor Service - Bundaberg
RFDS Bundaberg Base commenced operations on 4 March 2002 under a unique contractual agreement with Queensland Ambulance Service. The arrangement was an initiative of the Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Health and highlights a strong commitment to improving access to aeromedical health services.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service is a not for profit organisation delivering a variety of health services free of charge to those living, working or travelling throughout rural, remote and coastal Queensland.
We need you!
The Royal Flying Doctor Service relies on the State and Federal Government, the generosity of sponsors, corporate groups and the wider community to help meet the costs associated with running a 24 hour emergency response service.
"It is great working as a team to deliver optimal patient care. The doctor, nurse and pilot all work together for the benefit of the patient and to me that is most satisfying."
