Who We Are & What We Do
The NSW Farmers' Association is the representative voice of farmers in NSW.
We are a dedicated team of Policy Analysts, Industrial Relations specialists and people with years of experience in rural communities.
We work together to ensure the best possible results for farmers, rural and regional communities. We work hard to develop effective working relationships with key politicians and public servants to represent your farming concerns and to achieve effective legislation that benefits you.
The Association's Policy Division progresses a diverse range of commodity specific and more general issues on behalf of members. These issues are progressed through 20 Committees within the Association in order to ensure that the needs and interests of our members are fully addressed.
Generally speaking the issues relate to one of the following five areas; Livestock, Cropping, Conservation and Resource Management, Business, Economics and Trade and Rural Affairs.
Annual Conference and Executive Council are the Association's policy making forums which provide an opportunity for members to have issues discussed and policies established.

Mental Health Network
Severe and ongoing uncontrollable climatic conditions have highlighted the ever increasing stress and mental health issues across rural and remote NSW.
In May 2005 the NSW Farmers' Association Drought Summit held in Parkes exposed the significant and widespread emotional impacts of drought, with keynote speaker Jeff Kennett (Chairman, beyondblue) urging the 2000 farmers in attendance to speak openly about the stresses of drought.
We have four major sponsors and a wide range of FarmCard business partners that our Commercial team have built relationships with producing amazing financial benefits for our Members. Taking advantage of these products and services can return many times the cost of membership. The financial support they give the Association helps keep down running costs and membership fees.
