About Us
Welcome

Newstead Christian School (NCS) is a K-10 Christian School and was established in 1996.Our school and office are located at Tudor Avenue in Newstead, Launceston,Tasmania.

Our aim is to equip students with a Christ-centered education and provide them with spiritual ‘keys’ and skills to influence and engage their calling in life. This is reflected in our motto – Equipped, Empowered to Serve.

Newstead Christian School is committed to keeping in-line with current curriculum and technology, keeping class sizes small and an innovative building redevelopment.

The existing hall and adjacent spaces have undergone extensive renovations, to provide flexible learning spaces for High School students, catapulting our senior facilities into the 21st Century.

About Us

The joint goal is to nurture and model a relationship with Christ and to impart Christian standards to children as they reach their full academic potential. To this end, staff members will minister to the student body through biblically-based teachings and the example of their own lives.

Enrolment

Our school consists of a range of different families that share in the same Christian values. Parents and children loving Jesus and in regular fellowship with other believers will maximise the results of our authentically Christian curriculum.

As well as families that have faith in Jesus Christ, we welcome and include families that agree with our code of conduct summarised by Christ when he said, "...Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:39) It's our desire that all school families be open to the call of God who wants a close relationship with His people.
