Planning & Development

Council's Planning and Development Department helps to conserve, protect and enhance the natural and built environment of the Mid-Western Region and to improve the quality of life for our community and future generations.

Your Library

Mid-Western Regional Council Library provides an extensive collection of print books, talking books, DVDs, CDs and magazines which has been developed for your reading and listening pleasure. We have an extensive array of Fiction titles for Adults, Young Adults and Juniors; our younger readers are catered for with colourful and engaging picture and story books for children of all reading abilities

There are vast sections of Non Fiction and Junior Non Fiction subjects to suit all interests.For those interested in Family and Local History, we hold many locally published titles as well as microfiche and microfilm from NSW State Records and historical local newspapers on microfilm. There is also a multitude of other works that will keep genealogists occupied for hours.


The Mid-Western Region is home to a rich and diverse range of companion animals, wildlife and livestock that form a part of the Region's agricultural economy.
