West End
Maurice Meade was the first hairdresser to introduce the now-common ‘wash, cut and blow-dry’ service to Western Australia in the 1970’s. Hair was traditionally cut dry in salons, however Maurice believed that to achieve a high quality cut, the hair must be wet. Thus, the standard service that hairdressers around the state offer today was born.
Maurice Meade first opened its doors in Subiaco, Western Australia in 1974. In this one small shop the Maurice Meade reputation was born and in no time was attracting clients from all over Perth who were looking for quality, creative hairdressing. The group now comprises of 9 salons: Subiaco, Perth City, Claremont, Me by Maurice Meade Claremont, Whitfords City, Garden City Centre Booragoon, Garden City David Jones Booragoon, Karrinyup Centre and Karrinyup David Jones.
After 40 years in the business, Maurice Meade is renowned throughout Australia and overseas where our collections of beautifully cut and coloured hair are presented to inspire both hairdressers, men and women worldwide.
