The Kingborough Sports Centre opened on 19 May 1979, and since opening, has become a vital part of the Kingborough community and beyond. Catering for all age groups, the centre has the widest range of activities available under one roof than any other such complex in the state.
Activity choices for individuals or teams at the complex is always changing with demand. From daytime activities for the mums and dads to after school activities which provide a wide choice for children ages from 2 years upwards, through to evening sports for the mums, dads and teenagers.

The centre has proven on many occasions just how versatile it can be rock concerts, orchestra, church conventions, variety shows, big basketball and volleyball games and corporate games. Some great events!
