About Us
Dr Kapadia completed his cardiology training in Wellington and the Green Lane Hospital in Auckland New Zealand with interventional cardiology training in Victoria, BC, Canada. He has admitting rights at the Allamanda, Pindara and John Flynn Hospitals and is also a Visiting Cardiologist at the Gold Coast Hospital.
He is interested in all aspects of cardiology including clinical cardiology, stress testing, echocardiography, pacemaker implantation, paediatric cardiology, coronary angiography and angioplasty.
Dr Kapadia is actively involved in medical student and registrar teaching. He started the monthly Gold Coast Clinical Cardiology meetings, now in their 12th year.
He has made a special commitment to Fiji where he is helping to setup a national cardiac centre. He also helped to establish a Cath lab in Fiji’s major referral hospital in Suva. He is a member of the Sydney Adventist Hospital’s Operation Heart team to Fiji and does the screening of patients with Rheumatic Heart Disease before valvular surgery.
Dr Kapadia provides inpatient and outpatient consultation services weekly at our Southport and Pindara rooms. Inpatients at all three hospitals are visited on a daily basis.
