Information and Privacy Commission NSW

The IPC promotes and protects information access and privacy rights in NSW and provides information, advice, assistance and training for agencies and individuals on information access and privacy matters.

The IPC supports the Information Commissioner and Privacy Commissioner in fulfilling their legislative functions and ensures individuals and agencies can access consistent information, guidance and training about information access and privacy.

The IPC can provide you with general information about the laws we administer and how they work, and any processes you may need to follow in order to gain access to government information, or make a complaint about a breach of privacy.
