We welcome all who wish to join our community of Faith
Often enrolment in a Catholic school is seen as only available to those who are baptized Catholics. This is not the case.
We do identify strongly as a Catholic College. This means that we exist to live the values of the Gospel and to welcome others to belong to our community of faith, where what we say and do are founded in respect, justice, forgiveness, compassion, love and truth.
Students at Guilford Young College are educated and supported by a team of highly qualified and skilled staff. All bring to the College, a great depth and diversity of experience gained from working in Tasmania, on the mainland and overseas.
Our teachers are committed to high standards and innovative methods of teaching, so that students are challenged to achieve their potential in all their endeavours.
Pastoral care of students is regarded as a priority. It is undertaken by all members of staff, but in the first instance, by each student’s tutor. We also have fully qualified counsellors available at all times on both campuses.
