George Town Seafoods Pty Ltd is family owned and operated since 1993. Director George Doumouras has over 46 years experience in the fishing industry, his knowledge, expertise and passion for producing the highest quality seafood in Tasmania is exceptional.
Together with his son Chris Doumouras, George Town Seafoods have established a fish processing facility with state of the art equipment, highly qualified and experienced staff that has the capacity to produce large volumes of fish quickly and efficiently.
George Town Seafoods prides itself on its commitment to quality assurance and delivering the finest seafood in Tasmania, we have obtained HACCP Certification and Export registration, which allows us to provide seafoods to any where in the world including Supermarkets, Restaurants, wholesalers, Fish Markets, Exporters and Retailers.
In 2004 George Town Seafoods purchased its very own fishing vessel, The Silent Victory.
The Silent Victory is a medium size fishing vessel, which sources fish from off and around the coast of Tasmanian, unloading various species of fish.
Fresh Fish Retail
In 2009 George Town Seafoods constructed a brand new retail outlet at our processing plant in George Town, Tasmania to enable the local community and surrounding suburbs to purchase fresh fish direct from the source.
We have recently extended the retail section to include a mobile stall at Launceston's Harvest Farmers Market, which has proven very popular and highly regarded by the Launceston community.

Fish & Chips
In 2011 we introduced cooked fish & chips to our retail shop to provide the local workforce from the surrounding industrial estate the opportunity to eat cooked fish, fresh from our fishing boat.
All fish is freshly cooked by our specially trained cook, who uses secret recipes created and perfected at George Town Seafoods.
We have a large variety of species available (subject to catch) which include: Flathead, Spotted Trevally, Blue Grenadier, Gummy Shark, Blue Eye Trevalla, Pink Ling, Stargazer, Morwong, Squid, Latchet, Ocean Perch, Mirror Dory, Gemfish, Stripey Trumpeter, Calamari, Oysters, Scallops and Atlantic Salmon. All processed at our Factory in George Town, Tasmania
