Dr Richard Wilkins BDS

BDS. Bachelor of Dental Surgery

Richard graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1987. He spent the next ten years practicing dentistry in various parts of Australia including outback Queensland, rural Victoria and the Northern Territory. In 1997, he moved to Sydney and in 1999 he commenced his current practice here in Mona Vale.

Richard is excited and keen to see Mona Vale Dentist, move into a new era. Richard hasbeen a part of our long-standing clinic caring for Mona Vale families for over 20 years. As we move into this new chapter with a face lift and new name Richard will continue to care for all your dental needs.

Richard lives locally and enjoys coastal walks and time at the beach, music and playing the guitar, all sports especially AFL and health and fitness

Dr Malcolm Cotton

BDS. Bachelor of Dental Surgery

Malcolm graduated from Sydney University in 1978. He had a practice in Lane Cove for 13 years prior to buying into this practice in 1991. He has lived on the Northern Beaches all his life.

Malcolm is very passionate about his work and although planning on retiring in 2021 he has not been able to stay away! It looks like he will be with us for many years to come as one of our much-loved Dentists.

He has a particular interest in diagnosing and treating TMD / bruxing disorders. He enjoys spending time as a creative poet and artist, some of which you can see here in the practice.

How do I get there?
We are conveniently located in the heart of Mona Vale in Waratah Court, across the road from Aldi. First floor, Suite 28, Waratah Court, 12-14 Waratah Street, Mona Vale NSW 2103
Where can I park?
There is convenient street parking throughout Mona Vale, alternatively you can find free parking for longer periods at either Woolworths or the big parking lot in Bungan Lane next to Gateway Medical Centre with 3-hour free parking, both are only a short walk from the practice
How often should I see the dentist?
You should visit your dentist every 6 months for a regular clean and check-up. Plaque and tartar build up can be significantly reduced by a regular clean. The more often you see the dentist the more comfortable and pleasant your mouth will feel.
What do I do in a dental emergency?
All of our staff are trained to deal with stressful dental emergencies. We set aside a number of appointments each day to deal with urgent dental matters. If you’re in need of an appointment fast, give us a call. We’ll discuss the issue with you and fit you in as soon as possible.
Are you a preferred health insurance provider?
We focus on providing only the highest quality of service and care. Our fees are a reflection of this quality. Our responsibility is to look after you and give you the best most appropriate care for your individual needs. Therefore, we choose to have no contracts with any health insurers, which means we do not have any conflict of interest between our relationship with you, our loyal patients and a corporate third party.
