Pioneer North Queensland Pty Ltd is the largest producer of quarry, sand, concrete, bitumen and asphalt products for the building industry, in the Cairns area.

Our team is committed to our customers. We provide quality products and services, all the time, every time.

We have 6 main operations in the North Queensland region, including quarries, concrete plants, asphalt plants, spray sealing and transport division. All of which adhere to stringent quality, safety and environmental standards.

PNQ has the technical expertise, personnel and equipment to complete any project of any size.

Pre-Mixed Concrete

We offer a wide variety of quality ready-mix concrete products to all facets of the building industry, from sheds and houses to speciality projects using specified high strength concrete, through our fully computerised batch plant, with options including chilled water.

We also have a range of decorative products, including exposed aggregate and coloured concrete.

Our logistics-fleet consists of 13 maxi company trucks and 2 mini mix trucks, we are capable of producing.

Quarries

With 4 quarries, strategically situated in the Cairns region, we are able to offer a comprehensive material range.

Crushed Rock

PNQ quarries supply a wide range of crushed rock for a variety of construction uses (mainly basalt and greywacke). We supply all standard aggregate products to single-sized clean stone for use in decorative products, ready-mixed concrete and asphalt.

Sand

PNQ's sand plants are located on the Barron River and Tablelands.

We have products suitable for high strength concrete mixes through to backyard sandpits.

Ashphalt

PNQ is a leading supplier of high-quality asphalt in the Cairns Region. Strategically located in the Cairns area, PNQ is well positioned to meet your needs.

Our asphalt products have been developed for uses from major civil engineering projects to domestic driveways and paths.

Our fleet consist of 2 pavers, 2 profilers (1.3m and 450mm width), multi-tyred rollers, steel drum rollers, bobcats, tractor brooms, tandem body trucks, and float trailers.

Through a combination of quality products, the latest equipment and well trained staff, the team at PNQ are consistently providing our clients with a reliable and quality service.

Spray Sealing

Our mobile spray sealing division covers a wide area from Weipa and the Gulf Country to Mt. Isa and surrounding districts.

We provide all types of spray sealing services including primer, final seals and bitumen supply.

PNQ is committed to maintaining and installing road network infrastructure. Spray Sealing is the fast and economical way to surface a roadway.

The rejuvenation and restoration of roads is a core skill within the PNQ team. We have a high quality fleet of equipment and we partner with other providers to deliver larger projects on time and on budget.
