Link Health and Community strives to provide our community with a wide range of services suitable and accessible to all members of the City of Monash and beyond. We provide these services throughout our 14 locations, delivered by our 185 qualified staff and 183 willing volunteers. We have a long and rich history stretching back to the formation of the Waverley and Chadstone services as separate community health services in the early 1970s.

Services

Link Health and Community is a not-for-profit organisation that provides medical, health and support services to improve the health and wellbeing of all residents in the east and south east of Melbourne.

Our services include dental, doctors, allied health, NDIS Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) and counselling.

Health Promotion

Health promotion is the process of helping people to increase control over, and to improve, their health. Social inequality means there are people in our community who are more likely to experience poor health and early death. Health promotion aims to address the underlying causes of social inequality to improve health.

Link Health and Community partners with other organisations and our local community in health promotion initiatives to:

Develop people’s ability to improve their own health
Support policy and action that creates supportive environments for health

Social Inclusion
Prevention of violence against women

Link Health and Community engages with schools to improve the health of children, young people and their families.

We developed the Link Healthy Schools Network to provide information to schools about health and wellbeing issues.

Volunteers

Volunteers play an integral role in the delivery of Link Health and Community services and their work is much appreciated and valued by clinicians, staff, and consumers.Our volunteer network has a proud history that dates back to 1970 and it continues to offer a variety of volunteer positions that are either ongoing, short term and/or on an occasional basis.Our volunteers support us with many different areas of work, from community visitors, drivers, administrative, health program assistants and social and wellbeing program assistants.
