CAG purchased the Airport from the Commonwealth Government in May 1998. From a small airport surrounded by sheep paddocks, CAG has transformed Canberra Airport to a thriving precinct. The company is also responsible for Denman Prospect in Molonglo Valley and Constitution Place in the Canberra city.

In addition, CAG is responsible for Canberra's most unique new suburb, Denman Prospect and Constitution Place, a $300 million development in Canberra city. Canberra Airport is the region’s own world-class airport with domestic and international services. CAG is responsible for airport management, facilities management and all car parks. Qantas, Qantas link, Virgin Australia, Tiger Air Australia, Fly Pelican and Singapore Airlines all offer services to and from the airport, with Qatar Airways beginning services in 2018.
