About Us

Canberra Airport is managed by Capital Airport Group Pty. Ltd (CAG), a family company committed to adding quality developments in Canberra. CAG purchased the Airport from the Commonwealth Government in May 1998. From a small airport surrounded by sheep paddocks, CAG has transformed Canberra Airport to a thriving precinct. The company is also responsible for Denman Prospect in Molonglo Valley and Constitution Place in the Canberra city.

What We Do

Capital Airport Group (CAG) manages Canberra Airport as well as the surrounding Brindabella Business Park, Fairbairn, Pialligo Precinct, Majura Park and Majura Park Shopping Centre, home the region’s only Costco and Australia’s biggest Woolworths. In addition, CAG is responsible for Canberra's most unique new suburb, Denman Prospect and Constitution Place, a $300 million development in Canberra city. Canberra Airport is the region’s own world-class airport with domestic and international services. CAG is responsible for airport management, facilities management and all car parks. Qantas, Qantas link, Virgin Australia, Tiger Air Australia, Fly Pelican and Singapore Airlines all offer services to and from the airport, with Qatar Airways beginning services in 2018.

For lost property left on a plane or in an airline lounge, please contact you airline. For baggage that was lost in the terminal or car park, please call (02) 6275 2225.
How do I get to/from the airport?
The Canberra Airport is located just 10 minutes' drive from Canberra’s CBD. There are several ground transport options including taxis, rental cars, rideshare (e.g. UBER), ACTION buses and ample secure parking for passengers driving their own car.
Which bus do I catch to get to the airport?
ACTION bus route 11 and 11a service the airport terminal and Brinabella Business Park every day of the week. Qcity route 834 offers services from Queanbeyan to Brindabella Business Park and Majura Parks.
What time do I need to check-in?
We recommend you arrive early for check-in to allow ample time for processing through security screening points. Each airline has different requirements on how soon before your flight you must check in, please check with your airline or travel agent regarding any questions relating to check-in procedures, timing, or security measures.

If you require special assistance or wheelchairs when departing or arriving at the terminal, please contact our customer service team in advance on (02) 6275 2226 to make the necessary arrangements. For assistance with embarking and disembarking the plane, as well as during your flight, please contact your airline.
What happens if my flight is delayed by fog?
During the cooler months, fog may affect some flights. If Canberra Airport is fogged in, you should always contact your airlines for information on flight arrivals and departures.
