Our School

Calrossy Anglican School Preschool is a non-profit, community based, preschool available to all children aged 3 - 5 years old. The Preschool is a cooperative effort by the Management Committee, staff, children and parents, along with the financial and practical support of Calrossy Anglican School.


Location

Calrossy Preschool is located in the grounds of Calrossy Anglican School, on the corner of Bourke and Raglan Streets, Tamworth. Our cottage provides the perfect balance of a home-like atmosphere, with the resources of a modern preschool. This beautiful facility is further enhanced by our picturesque landscaped gardens, complete with cubby house.


Our Curriculum

At Calrossy Preschool, we're committed to seeing that children have the opportunity to learn, to socialise, and to develop effective communication skills. Developmentally appropriate programs offer a range of activities and experiences to enhance the intellectual, social, emotional and physical wellbeing of individual children.


Calrossy Preschool is a place where children experience warmth, affection and encouragement, while being provided with opportunities develop resilience and independence.


Caring for our children

As part of our commitment to students, Calrossy Preschool staff strive to enhance each child's strengths, competence and self-esteem. Our full-time, experienced, and qualified staff team includes an authorised supervisor, and Diploma and Certificate III trained staff. Additional needs children are catered for according to their needs by additional trained staff.


The centre recognises the need for all staff to have access to continuing in-service education in order to continue providing the high quality care for which we are well known.


Our Community

Our Management Committee comprises the Chairman of Calrossy Anglican School, the Principal of Calrossy Anglican School, the Business Manager of Calrossy Anglican School, a Secretary/ Treasurer, and two parent representatives elected at the Annual General Meeting.


Beyond our Management Committee, the staff, parents and students of Calrossy Preschool have a significant co-operative role to play in our community, our culture, and our commitment to students.

Throughout the year, parents have the opportunity to contribute as they are able through a variety of special activities and events.


Enrolment Information

Calrossy Anglican School Preschool is currently licensed to take 25 children at one time. The preschool is open from 8:45am to 3:15pm each day. Four and five year olds may attend 1, 2 or 3 days per week and three to four year olds can attend 1 or 2 days per week.

A waiting list system operates for places in the following year, or for any vacancies that may occur during the year.
