Dr Peter JS Bentivoglio is a Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon at St Vincent’s Clinic Campus Sydney. As a third generation Australian, his grandparents arrived from Italy in 1898, Peter followed in the footsteps of his father (Dr EA Bentivoglio) and based his career in Medicine and Surgery. Peter became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and Neurosurgical Society of Australasia. He trained at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, under the mentoring and teaching from Sir Douglas Miller,Dr Kevin Bleasel and Dr Thomas Connelly.
In London Peter furthered his Neurosurgery at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, UK with Professor Lindsay Symon, Professor David Thomas and Professor Alan Crockard. Dr Bentivoglio has been a consultant Neurosurgeon at St Vincent’s Sydney since he returned from the UK. He is the Past-Chairman of Neurosurgery a position he held for 16 years and contributed to the expansion of the Department of Neurosurgery and establishing the Neurosciences Research area.
Dr Bentivoglio is highly experienced Neurosurgeon in Skull Base Neurosurgery, Vascular Neurosurgery and Spinal Neurosurgery including: Giant Aneurysm and Arteriovenous malformations.
