Asteria Services Incorporated

ASTERIA Services Incorporated is a not-for-profit organisation that provides support, education and employment to individuals with a disability and their families. Located in Maryborough, ASTERIA Services Inc. provides services to adults with a disability within the Central Goldfields Shire which incorporates Maryborough, Dunolly, Carisbrook, Talbot, Bealiba and their surrounding localities.

There are many different types of disability. A disability can be caused by a genetic condition, an illness or an accident. 'Disability' can include:

• Intellectual disability
• Physical disability
• Sensory disability
• Acquired brain injury
• Neurological impairment
• Dual disability (one of the above and a psychiatric disability)
• Disabilities that are unrelated to ageing, or
• Any combination
