Since The Wesley Hospital's inception over 30 years ago, the scope & scale of the hospital has expanded to meet the ever growing needs of its patients. In 2009, the Wesley opened its new $102 million East Wing building, which added a further 178 beds to the hospital's capacity.
The hospital's comprehensive range of clinical services spans more than 35 areas of specialty. The Wesley is widely recognised for its expertise in cancer services, cardiac services, women's health and surgery, including minimally invasive surgery (MIS).
The Wesley has been accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards since 1985.
The Wesley Hospital, owned and operated by The Uniting Church under Uniting Care, is one of Queensland's largest private hospitals. With over 530 beds, the hospital employs over 2300 full, part time and casual staff and offers a comprehensive range of clinical services across 35 areas of specialty with over 800 accredited referring specialists.
