The Hydraulic Shop
The Hydraulic Shop, based in Rockhampton, is Central Queensland's leading specialists in hydraulic and pneumatic supplies and repairs.
With an excellent reputation as trouble shooters and for the rapid service and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, fixing breakdowns are our number one priority. We are skilled in the design and installation of all types of hydraulic systems.
We cater not just to the specialist needs of the large mining industry in the area, but a range of other industries including drilling, power generation, meat processing, earthmoving, construction and agriculture. We are leaders in innovative ideas, utilising our combined knowledge, expertise and technology for the benefit of all our customers.
We can test up to 450 horsepower.
Our facilities include a cylinder strip down bench capable of handling some of the largest cylinders in the industry - up to 14m in length, 1m in diameter and with a 5000,000 ft/lb torque capacity for nut removal.
We carry a comprehensive range of common seals and o-rings to suit hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors and control valves Hose & Fittings. Our staffs have the knowledge and experience so that even if we don't have on hand what is required we can improvise and adapt in case of breakdowns.
The Hydraulic shop has designed a compact lightweight hydraulically driven system, which sits on the catwalk so there are no changes needed to the superstructure of an excavator. It can be fitted to other applications such as drill rigs. One client reports that The Hydraulic Shop solution was well received by the Mines Inspector for the reduction in safety issues.
We have met the challenge to produce a grease pump to refill an EX5500 excavator grease tank in less than the time it takes to refuel! The Grump is a hydraulically driven grease pump that delivers 1.5 to 23 litres/minute at up to 6000 psi (420 Bar) or the high pressure model which delivers up to 10,000 psi (700 Bar).
