Established by John Andrews in 1956, the Star Electrical Company was initially a specialist in larger commercial electrical contracts - a proud tradition that continues today.

The growth of the Star Group of Companies is the direct result of a business committed to embracing the needs of its customers with the first expansion into maintenance in the 1960s.

The second major growth came in the 1990s when Commstar Communications was set up as the specialist data and communications division of the company.
