We are the flagship venue for harness racing in South Australia and are located 15km from the CBD just 20 minutes north of the city centre off Port Wakefield Road.
It is the home track for the South Australian Harness Racing Club.

First reference to trotting in South Australia. Thoroughbred mare "Norah", owned and ridden by Police Inspector Alexander Tolmer trots 17 miles in 52 minutes 2 seconds for a wager for 120 pounds.
On New Year Day a race meeting at Victoria Park includes a trotting race of 3 miles. C Swinden's "Piebald" beats nine other starters
The first SA Trotting Club is formed and a meeting held with headquarters at Victoria Park. The sport progresses slowly in a few country centres and is only seen in Adelaide at the Royal Show.
South Australian Trotting Association is formed.
