About Us
Powers of Attorney

You may wish to give a Power of Attorney if you are going overseas for some time or if you anticipate an illness, in which case it would be appropriate to draft an enduring Power of Attorney.

We can assist you determining the appropriate use of the Power, its scope and limitations, if any, and attend to any registration requirements which may be relevant if the Power of Attorney is to be used for the transfer of property.

Wills

Everyone should have a Will in order to avoid the rule relating to intestacy.

We offer expert assistance in drafting Wills. These can be a simple family style Will ranging through to mutual Will agreements to more complex structures where estate planning and creation of trusts may be a feature.

Although much is made of so called "Will Kits", in all but the most simple of matters the use of a Will Kit can often lead to disappointment among those who expected to inherit and a compromise of your wishes. Only a solicitor is competent to guide you through the intricacies of testamentary law.

Probate

We also offer a Probate administration service and can offer you advice as to whether a grant of Probate is actually necessary, if so, how to get a grant and how to administer the estate in accordance with the various legal requirements under the Wills and Probate Administration Act.

Finally, if you believe that you have been hard done by or left out of an expected inheritance we can offer you advice in relation to the success of a claim under the Family Provision Act.
