The Dyer's Group of Companies was formed in 1970 by Murray Dyer to encompass the operations of Dyer's Transport Pty Ltd, R & F Quarry Supplies Pty Ltd and Scherer Contractors Pty Ltd.
These entities are privately owned Riverland companies under the control of Murray Dyer's sons, Michael and Wayne Dyer.
Scherer Contractors Pty Ltd has been providing civil contracting and construction services to various Utility Companies, State and Federal Government Bodies and Organisations, Local Councils, Developers, Contractors and Individuals. Our current workforce of approximately 30 has abroad and extensive range of construction knowledge & experience.

Managing Director - Michael Dyer
Michael Dyer has been employed with Scherer Contractors since 1979, has operated all types of Earthmoving machinery, working on sites preparing Earthworks, Levels and Compactions, Preparation of Roadwork's, Bitumen and Car parks. Michael has been the Works Manager Since 2001. He has also been Quarry Manager since 1996. His Grader works include finished levels UTS, GPS and peg & tape/string line.
Civil Project Manager - Nicola Cruz
Nicola is responsible for maintaining the Integrated Management System that ensures that our obligations in regards to Quality, Safety and the Environment are met.
Nicola is also responsible for maintaining our CCF, OH&SE and NHVAS accreditation, providing quality assurance for all projects that Scherer Contractors undertake.
Works Supervisor - Shane Zimmerman
Shane Zimmerman has been employed with Scherer Contractors Works Supervisor & comes with an extensive background in Excavation and Installation of Water Mains, Storm water and Sewer Pipes, Drainage Sumps & Pumping Chambers, Subdivisions, Bulk Earthworks, Roadworks and Building Pads.
He also has experience with Australian National Parks and Wildlife Service, involved in Land Management including Soil Erosion Control, Fauna Protection & Monitoring and Revegetation throughout Murraylands, Chowilla, Dangali Conservation Parks, Calperum Station and the Bookmark Biosphere.
