RLB has always had a special relationship with Sydney. Stanley Jones, founder of our Sydney office, worked with Joern Utzon and Ove Arup on the original construction of the Sydney Opera House in the 1960s, and we remain involved in building upgrades even today.
RLB worked closely with the organisers of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. From the original bid costing stage through to cost management and quantity surveying of all stadiums, including fit-out and overlay. Building on these strengths, RLB has since worked on all Olympic Games and other major sporting events.
Our work on 1 Bligh set new standards for sustainable design in the commercial sector, while Barangaroo showcases our specialist expertise in cost management, quantity surveying and advisory services for major commercial facilities.
RLB’s contribution to major strategic roads and rail infrastructure planning such as WestConnex, Sydney Light Rail, North West Rail Link, and South West Rail link is helping secure the state’s future.
