Peacockes Solicitors - Gilgandra
Peacocke Dickens and Price (as it was known until 2007) evolved out of the legal practice of McGuinn and McGuinn which was established in 1893 by Denis McGuinn senior and his brother Martin McGuinn. Their father Luke McGuinn came to Dubbo in 1861 as the Clerk of Petty Sessions.
In 1963 Peter and Gerry Peacockes bought the practice of McGuinn and McGuinn which was then operated by Frank Smith. In 1964 Peter and Gerry were joined by Ian Dickens and later also by Derek Price thus giving rise to the name under which the firm traded of Peacockes Dickens & Price for many years. The firm is now conducted by two partners Andrew Graham and Tiffany Hart and four solicitors Amanda Webb, Jeremy Tooth, Tim and Kathleen O'Keeffe.
