Reservations
Bookings can be made through licensed AFTA travel agents. They should normally be processed and confirmed within 48 hours.
Prices
Prices are per person twin share quoted in Australian dollars unless otherwise specified and are current at the time of printing. Should the exchange rates fluctuate, or ground/airline costs increase, you will be required to pay any such increase, prior to departure. Australian Government taxes, Departure and Airport taxes not included. Prices include New Zealand GST (at 12.5%), Australian GST does not apply to international travel.
Late Bookings
For any bookings taken within 7 days of departure, a minimum $30 surcharge will apply.
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $100 per passenger will be required within 7 days of booking confirmation for all bookings. New Zealand WALKING TRACKS ONLY require a non-refundable deposit of $200 per passenger within 14 days of conformation to secure your booking.
Minimum purchase
There is no minimum purchase value applied to all bookings, however there is a $30 minimum booking surcharge applied to all bookings under $300 (not including air fare content).
Balance
The balance amount owing is due in full 45 days prior to departure, or immediately if departing within 45 days. New Zealand WALKING TRACKS ONLY final payment is due no later than 60 days prior to departure.
Documents
Issue of travel documents will be, with best endeavours, within 14 working days of receipt of full payment. During peak periods of operation, documents will be issued based on departure dates.
Cancellations
Cancellation of a booking outside 35 days prior to departure will incur a $100 per passenger fee plus any airline cancellation fees. Within 35 days, a $150 per passenger, plus airline/hotel/ground operator, fee applies. Within 7 days, 100% of the total holiday price will be charged. WALKING TRACKS ONLY cancellation outside 60 days will incur a $100 per passenger fee, 60 to 30 days - 30% of full price, 30 to 10 days - 50% of full price, within 10 days - 100% of full price.
Refunds
After departure from Australia no refunds can be made on unused services. However unused open-dated accommodation vouchers beyond the minimum purchase requirements are refundable. A $55 handling fee will be charged. Refund applications must be made through your travel agent within 45 days of your return to Australia.
Amendments
One amendment per booking is permitted free of charge, all subsequent changes will incur a $33 levy per booking. If amendments are made and the booking value increases, the fee will be wavered.
