Our role is to identify what health services are needed in the Nepean and Blue Mountains communities and how we can bridge any gaps there may be in the provision of these services.
We do this by working with and providing support to General Practice, other primary health care providers and the many health and non-health stakeholders across the region.
We employ over 70 talented and skilled professionals working in our organization.
PHNs have the important task of improving the health of our region by making it easier for patients to access the primary healthcare services they need, better linking local GPs, nursing and other health professionals, hospitals and aged care, and maintaining up to date local service directories.
PHNs support and work in collaboration with General Practice and the many other health providers and organisations across the region in a very hands on role that is making a tangible difference to the health of our community.
