What should I expect during my first visit?
During your initial visit, the Dr Monga will explain the specific test or procedure you want and go through the risks and possible outcomes. She will most likely do a physical examination and ask questions about your medical history. Once all the options have been discussed you can make an informed decision regarding your treatment.
Do I need a referral to make an appointment?
You do need a referral from your GP or another specialist. This is partly to ensure the specialist you are seeing is appropriate for you and your condition and also because Medicare will not pay a rebate for your consultation without a current referral.
Are my medical records kept private and confidential?
Our staff are bound by strict confidentiality requirements as a condition of employment regarding your medical records. Ordinarily we will not release the contents of your medical file without your consent.
