Kempsey Regional Support provides a range of personalised services to people with support needs. We currently have over 200 people registered with us. Some of these people use our services on a regular basis and some only access us on a one-off basis.
To receive funded service from Kempsey Regional Support a person must have a disability which:
(a) is attributable to an intellectual, cognitive, neurological, psychiatric, sensory or physical impairment, or a combination of any of those impairments, and
b) is permanent or likely to be permanent, and
(c) results in a significant reduction in the person’s functional capacity in one or more areas of major life activity, including, for example, communication, social interaction, learning, mobility, decision-making, self-care and self-management, and
(d) results in the need for support, whether or not of an ongoing nature. All families accessing Kempsey Regional Support are invited to participate in an annual satisfaction survey. Feedback from these surveys are collated and reviewed. Where necessary, changes are made to policies, procedures and practice to improve service delivery.
When families/carers register with Kempsey Regional Support, they are informed of their right to raise complaints or concerns without fear of retribution. This information is provided to them in a registration package.
