We aim to bring quality education to those who need it most, and provide this service at an affordable rate.
Along with this, we aim to provide care for families who need alternative hours, such as night shifts or weekend work, to increase their ability to gain quality care for their children that will work around their routines.
Looking to the future, we aim to increase our small business into a thriving, healthy business, employing more staff and increasing our ability to provide care to more families in the Mackay region.
We believe in seeing and defining a child by who they are, rather than what they are. Children with additional needs are seen as just a child instead of being seen as a child with a disability.
A holistic approach to learning and developing takes into account the child’s family dynamic, culture, skills and weaknesses, interests and dislikes, thoughts and ideas and most importantly, their feelings, when deciding on the best teaching approach to be taken.
We heavily rely on parent input into a child's learning, ensuring that the child is receiving the best possible care that cooperates with their needs and the goals and aspirations of their family.
The core values of Holistic Child Support Services run in accordance with the five principals of childcare, these being:
- secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships
- partnerships with families
- high expectations and equity
- respect for diversity, and
- ongoing learning and reflective practice
