How we calculate our fees is tailored depending on the type of work you want us to do. For ongoing matters, will enter into a costs agreement with you as and when required under legislation, which sets out our method of charging and an estimate of your costs. We endeavour to provide you with transparency and certainty in relation to your legal costs.
Do you offer “no win, no fee”?
For certain personal injuries matters, our firm and the barrister we engage will act for you on a “no win, no fee” basis. Please see our personal injuries page for more information.
How long will my matter take?
This will depend on the type of matter, the need to investigate, the availability of witnesses, the availability of the court and many other factors. However, we will discuss likely time frames with you and give you our best estimate.

ABOUT US

Giudes & Elliott was established in 1975.

The partners of the firm are Raoul Giudes and John Hopes.

Giudes & Elliott is a well-respected general practice firm in the North Queensland region.

The firm has a truly regional focus, with our main office being in Townsville and a branch operating in Ingham.

Giudes & Elliott took over the practice of JJ Williams and Williams, a well-known firm in the Herbert River District some years ago.

The partners and staff of Giudes & Elliott pride themselves on the ability to achieve successful outcomes while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Our Townsville office is located in the historic Denham Chambers building.

The building was erected circa 1900, believed to built for Hugh Percy Hamilton Benwell, a former British Naval Officer, who arrived in Townsville in the 1870s.
