Who We Are

Dr Mark Medownick established the Medownick Eye Clinic as part of the Epworth medical complex in 1984. In 1994, we changed our name to the Medownick Laser Clinic, when Dr Medownick was one of the first eye surgeons to perform laser vision correction in Victoria.

We specialise exclusively in Laser Vision Correction and Low Stress Refractive Surgery procedures to correct all refractive errors: myopia, long-sightedness, astigmatism, presbyopia & cataracts with many thousands of patients enjoying better than 20/20 vision. We are in no hurry to operate on your eyes. We want you to make an informed decision. Your eyes could not be in better hands.

We are here to answer your questions. We want to ease your concerns & to help you make an informed decision about Laser Vision Correction & your eyes. Your free no obligation assessment will last approximately 2 hours. We perform multiple measurements and tests with our state of the art equipment. We will put some drops in your eyes, so your vision will be blurred for a few hours after that.

Our hours for your free Laser Vision and other Refractive Procedures Assessment are Monday to Saturday 9 till 5. On Tuesdays we work after hours.
