About Us

In June 2003, Cape Adieu Harbour Cruises, a family operated business, was established and has since provided sunset dinner cruises, private functions, charters and wedding reception services to over 100,000 clients.

Owner/Operator Shane Hearn, has in excess of 45 years' experience as a commercial fisherman. Having grown up in the famous fishing port of Port Fairy on Victoria's Bass Strait, Shane's introduction to fishing began at the family run Fisherman's Arms Hotel.

After commencing his professional fishing career as deckhand on the local Shark, Crayfish, and Abalone boats, Shane and his brothers Brian and John relocated north 40 years ago to pursue a career skippering Factory Prawn trawlers throughout the remote waters of the Kimberley, NT, and Gulf of Carpentaria.

Shane’s extensive maritime experience, vast local knowledge and his passion to present only the freshest Territory wild caught seafood combine to make every dinner cruise a memorable Territory experience.

Cape Adieu Harbour Cruises has an evidenced commitment to quality and the highest possible standards in customer service and this remains its guiding focus in a highly competitive Darwin tourism market.
