Hydro Vacuum Excavations (NDD)Non-Destructive Digging, Pot holing, Trenching, Jetting and Pipe Cleaning, High Pressure Water Cleaning.
Hydro Vacuum Excavations (NDD) Non-Destructive Digging is primarily used as a safe method to expose underground services and dig around critical infrastructure however it also has many other applications.
How HydroExcavation Works:
Hydro Vacuum Excavation equipment combines high-pressure water and air vacuum. This system cuts through soils and debris breaking it up. The vacuum then lifts the slurry from the excavation area into a debris tank. This allows for a Non-Destructive and more accurate way to excavate soil and locate underground utilities.
Pipe and sewer cleaning rehabilitation is another application for our hydro excavation combo’s, it has the ability to clean pipes up to 200 metres in length and 1.5 in diameter.
Hydro Vacuum Excavation brings a number of benefits to the industrial excavation world. It is now the most preferred method of digging because of its efficient and accurate results. The primary benefit of Hydro Vacuum Excavation is that it delivers a safer method than mechanical excavations.
In general, Hydro Vacuum Excavation is a method that creates a better, cleaner and safer service for the customer.
Underground Asset Services Locations:
Power Cables/Conduits Communication Cables/Conduits Sewer/Stormwater Pipework and Infrastructure GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar).
All AUS locations staff are DBYD Certified, Telstra Accredited and NULCA trained in the use of state of the art location equipment to identify critical underground assets.
These assets typically include but are not limited to: Power, Communications (i.e. Telstra, NBN, Optus), Water, Sewer, and Stormwater Infrastructure in Commercial and Domestic environments.
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR):
Locating and Mapping Services Detailed Survey Reporting of pipework and cables Tracing of reinforcing and tension cables in suspended slabs.
The GPR comes in handy for those non-traceable assets that need to be found, such as PVC pipes, concrete pipes, tree roots and much more.
It works by looking for disturbances in the ground or anything that is buried that has a different density than the surrounding earth or concrete. These usually untraceable assets may be discoverable by a GPR without the need for digging.
On those big jobs it will provide information overlayed on google earth for easy to read and visualise orientations.
Past work covers a variety of applications including. Tracing of buried Tramway tracks under roads, tracing tree roots and service station fuel tank mapping.
CCTV Pipe Inspection Cameras:
Camera Investigation on conduit and pipe. Video documenting and Reporting WASA code compliant.
Larger Tractor Camera for detailed reporting of old and new pipework or Sewer/Stormwater mains. (100mm-1.5m). Coding for Taswater requirements on new infrastructure.
Video recording for replacement or renewal of these assets.
Push camera on a long flexible rod for domestic small pipes (50mm-100mm) and hard to get at places.
Leak detection of pressurised pipes Large water main and pressurised sewer main leak investigations of new or old pipework.
Small internal domestic leaks under concrete slabs, driveways, footpaths and in internal walls.
Large watermain leak investigations of new or old pipework.
(Pipework must be under pressure for detection of leaks)
