In May 1979 Bill and Eileen Gartner established a business called Highbury Maintenance Service in South Australia. Shortly after, their son Kevin joined the business. The work involved steel fabrication, building erection and winery maintenance work.
In 1982 the business branched into aluminium fabrication, and continued to manufacture components in aluminium. The steel fabrication side of the business was gradually replaced, making way for more specialised aluminium manufacturing machinery. In 1995 the decision was made to change the name of the business to something more descriptive of what we do. The name Aluwalk was derived from Aluminium walkways, so since that time we have traded under the name Aluwalk Pty Ltd.
Some of our regular clients include, SA Water, United Water, O'Donnell Griffin, and Amec, with contracts including major safety upgrades of waste water treatment and water filtration plants around South Australia. We have also provided and installed corrosion resistant and vermin proof aluminium roofing for several water storage tanks in country areas for SA Water.
Aluwalk are the South Australian distributors for Juralco aluminium walkway systems, including Guardsafe™, Walkmaster™ and Ampligrip™ grating. We have the facilities to fabricate irregular shaped grating panels, aluminium access hatches and also special purpose aluminium ladders, ladder cages, balustrade panels and gangway bridges.
Aluwalk is a progressive company that has built a reputation on providing personal service with a professional attitude, attention to detail and pride in our workmanship. We manufacture all of our products to a very high standard and comply with all relevant Australian Standards.
