Cracks in pavements allow moisture to penetrate the surface causing permanent material failure. Failure to seal cracks result in further cracking, pot-holes and eventually a major pavement breakdown, leading to expensive repairs.
To minimise water infiltrating the pavement base, crack sealing with a hot polymer/rubberised bitumen sealant is required, preventing future problems.
