About Us

Barry Stoodley Pty Ltd was incorporated in South Australia in June 1980 with a total staff of 5. We operated out of a small leased workshop situated very close to our current premises.

The company's main function was to provide the South Australian road transport industry with an alternative workshop for the professional fitting out of prime movers and chassis modifications. We also had the State franchise for a prominent Victorian body builder.

Manufactured Products

At Barry Stoodley Pty Ltd, we are proud of our heritage of quality and ingenuity. With a 26 year history of manufacturing, we've seen some pretty big changes in both products and processes.

We strive to keep at the forefront of developments in the transport industry, having pioneered the first sliding-suspension A-trailer, and the most successful rolling body A-trailer on the market. Development continues today, with concepts such as F.U.P.S. compliant bullbars and aluminium side-tipping trailers.

Product Marketplace

Barry Stoodley Pty Ltd, supplies the Australian transport industry with a huge range of new and used transport equipment, transport spares and second hand / re-conditioned spares. Below you can also view our current specials and unusually cheap products.

Quality Equipment Service

Building a quality product is only half the battle. As an operator, you need the full package; the service, backup and knowledge to get you on the road, and keep you on the road.

That's why Barry Stoodley Pty Ltd has developed an extensive Service division, with access to all the facilities and parts needed to get your truck or trailer working hard. And when things go wrong, our large and well-equipped workshops have got the facilities to get you back where you belong: on the road, making money.

WaterJet Cutting

Water Jet Cutting, or Abrasive Jet Cutting technology uses extremely high pressure to focus ordinary water through a jewel orifice into a fine stream. This stream carries powdered garnet, which can cut through almost any material. Most materials can be cut quickly and cleanly, without heat.

This technology can be used on metals, ceramics, plastics, rubber, foam, textiles, even glass. Softer or thinner materials can even be cut with water alone! And there is no heat affected zone to worry about in high tensile steels.

If you can draw it, we can cut it!
